Anyone have clue what this is used for?

I won an auction a couple of weeks ago and this device was in one of the boxes. I have no clue what it is. An internet search shows it to be diagnostics equipment, but I'm unsure what industry it is for.

I have no cables to see if the thing works. Ebay seems to have the cables available . . .

It is used in automotive in conjunction with other diagnostic components. I think they simulate good components like sensors to allow you to troubleshoot bad components in an automobiles computer system.

I wish I knew if it worked or not. If someone wants to take the chance and/or knows of someone who might need it let me know. I'd probably just give it to them.

Otherwise, it'll probably just get tossed or recycled.
