Watched it last night. Couldn’t Id the rifle he was using. Anyone seen it?

That looks like a Garand in that picture. The clip release on the side of the receiver is the giveaway.

If its a Italian movie, then probably a BM-59

Just watched the trailer and there arent any good views of it, except that there is a space between the gas tube and barrel suggesting a BM59 and not a Garand. Other than that, its hard to tell.

Imdb says its a sporterised M1

I think he’s saying it’s the distinctive style of the wood furniture, not the fact that it’s wood.

I thought Garand originally but he kept using a lever on the left size to chamber it, too much Hollywood flair. Seemed semi auto then back to left handed iteration to chamber it.
