Looking to switch cell phone companies. Going to try out another for my wife's phone and getting another for daughter. How is the quality with T-mobil? They have some great deals going. My main concern is being able to make calls pretty much anywhere. I currently have US cellular and have had for at least 13 years. I would stay with them but the cost is getting to much especially with adding another phone to the account.

T-Mobile is the best company I have both worked for and been a customer of. Most carriers are on the same towers anyway. I can tell you T-Mobile is much more concerned with hourly statistics we get on each towers performance than any of the others I have worked for. I believe the phone you have has way more to do with your quality of service on a day to day basis. I have a Samsung 3G, an HTC G2, and an old Nokia 2G flip phone. The Nokia gets reception in places when neither one of my others or my wife's Galaxy S will. Of course the caveat to all this is: you can't live in the boonies where there are no towers. Having worked for US Cellular and T-Mobile both in Oklahoma, I know USC is more committed to the boonies.

best customer service I have ever dealt with....like as said above...great reception and service as long as you're not out in the sticks, just like the other carriers. there is a plan you might look at...I can't remember the name of it, but we have it. We have 3 phones on it with data and unlimited text and we pay right at $100 month. Now we have to buy our phones at full price, but you can have that cost broken up and added to your bill along the way. Plus no contract. We can walk at anytime, not that we want to or would.

I did and switched to AT&T and have been very happy ever since. Their rates were awesome but good gravy do they have the worst coverage in the history of coverage. They say their network is the fastest(at least that seems to be what they push in their ads, speed) but speed doesn't help if the bike wont start, dropped calls was the norm.

Like others have said, good in town, bad most other places. in Guthrie, you're lucky to get a 2G signal. 4g speeds aren't as fast as the other carrier's due to T-Mobile not using LTE

We had tmobile, if you live in Tulsa or OKC it's ok, but anywhere else they don't have good 3G/4G coverage. Call quality was just ok also outside of the big city's. We have AT&T now and service is far superior to tmobile.

I have had tmo off and on since it was Voicestream and is by far the best value out there. I go hunting pretty far off the beaten path and really don't have a problem making calls but the net sucks when you get way out there. The phone reception is more about your phone rather than the carrier. I'm going on about 8 years with them this time around and have no plans to switch.
