^^^^ better phone maybe, or could be a tri-band ?

Sounds a little hit or miss. I'm going to stick with US Cellular. Just ordered another phone for my daughters b-day. They have some new plans that made them a little closer in price to t-mobile.

Thanks for the opinions and input.

I can verify first handed that's a steaming pile of ****. I had no bars with T-mobile while a guy RIGHT NEXT TO ME had great signal with an AT&T phone.

Did you have the same exact phones, with the same antennas? If you're using a crappy phone, the network can't help you much.

There are two phone networks in the US; GSM and CDMA.

The owner of the tower may limit bandwidth from roaming users, but you're on one network or the other. AT&T and T-Mobile both use the GSM network. If you're on T-Mobile, you're pretty much always using AT&T towers here in the midwest.

No offense, but please do some research before you call facts a "steaming pile of ****". If you don't understand how electronics work, simply ask questions to those of us who do.

USC's got about the best customer service these days, and the prices are nice also. The main downside (as with all CDMA providers) is that you don't get data and voice at the same time.
