I bought one of those zero clearance stoves with a blower that was high efficiency 14 years ago and never bought a stick of wood. People were giving me wood and when the catalytic thingy kicked in, on a freezing day I had to open the doors for a draft. But, I respect those guys like me that are getting up in years and can't or don't want to wear out our bodies anymore than they are already worn out and don't want to cut and split wood for one reason or another. Personally, I didn't like to go out and carry in the split wood. I move into a house with central heat! But my arthritis still hurts for some reason.
