AR-15 pistol

Anybody have any experience shooting an AR-15 pistol in 223? Been thinking about one for a while, but I'm just not sure before I throw the money out there.

How does it handle?

Good recovery with it being so dinky?

What kind of FPS loss is there? I was thinking 10.5 or 11.5 barrel length HAD to be a lot better than those 7.5 inch jobbers, but they sure look bitchin!

Never fired one in 223, but a friend has a 9mm that's really fun. Kind of a poor man's MP5.
