Call it whatever makes you happy. It works well as a handstop for me.

And FWIW, the manufacturer markets it as a handstop.

A hand stop keeps your hand from moving forward. In other words, It STOPS your hand from moving forward. An Angled fore grip, which is what that is gives a more natural grip on the hand guard. Call it what ya want but it doesn't change what it is

I use one of these on my 14" 590A1 SBS. I use a BCM KAG as a hand stop on my 11.5" SBR AR.
