Does that mean I am crying crocodile tears?
No, not at all. I just think someone slipped a Mickey into your koolaid when you weren't looking. Not unlike the millions of others who agree with you.
Does that mean I am crying crocodile tears?
Yep.
Contempt of the Constitution.
Contempt of the United States.
Contempt of States Rights.
Contempt of individual rights.
Contempt of morality.
Contempt of U.S. Sovereignty.
Contempt of the U.S. military.
Contempt of fiscal responsibility.
Contempt of McDonalds Happy Meals
Contempt of anything/anyone who disagrees.
Guess who....
If a liberal party (oh, excuse me, grass roots movement), regularly engaged in rhetoric that legitimized violence, then yes, they bear some responsibility.
The Tea Party movement allowed some very hateful hateful and often, racist, rhetoric in their name. You guys can equivocate and deny all you want, but that is the truth. That said, I don't believe the majority of Tea Partiers are either racist or hateful. I think many are politically unsophisticated, but genuinely are distressed by their perception of where the country is headed. Unfortunately, their "perception" has been manipulated for other people's agendas.
The problem with amped up rhetoric is that it creates an atmosphere where previously unacceptable behavior becomes OK. This is true for the Black Panther Party as it is the Tea Party.
Has such an atmosphere been created? I haven't seen such an atmosphere nor evidence of one.
Woody
There are as many unsophisticated liberal voters as conservative.
Congrats. You just made my point for me.The sheriff pointed to the vitriolic political rhetoric that has consumed the country as he denounced the shooting that claimed several of his friends as victims, including U.S. District Judge John Roll. The judge celebrated Mass on Saturday morning like he does every day before stopping by to say hello to his good friend Giffords.
"When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous," the sheriff said. "And unfortunately, Arizona I think has become the capital. We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry."
