:disappoin::scratch::rolleyes:

Here, let me get you another stick. That dead horse has really messed that one up.

:bighug:

I think the "birther" term is an inaccurate one. The question still remains whether Obama meets the requirements to fill the office of the presidency regardless of the location of his birth. We had a good thread on it a while back.

And yes, it is a dead horse issue. Unfortunately Americans are too easily manipulated.

He should have posted on OSA for advice, I'm sure someone could have found a section of the constitution that lets him pick and choose when he deploys after enlisting. :)

Not too many sections of the Constitution apply to you after you swear in under a gold fringed flag. Even though they've removed those areas from the flag code, that was the reason they were there, to waive your constitutional rights.

He got off light.

Yeah, it was a little bit too little. He should have gotten at least a year tacked on for being criminally stupid. He's got it made now though. He'll get a gig with the Tea Party crowd when he gets out and make millions on speeches and a book deal.

You are probably right Hobbes. As a soldier, it does not matter whether or not you concur with the Commander and Chief of even think that they should be in that position, you are to follow orders unless they violate the law. The president was elected by the people of the United States. I am not sure what they were thinking when this happened but it happened just the same. I have been in the military for 22 years active and guard time combined. It annoys me that soldiers avoid the deployment when put in that position. Deploy and then voice your digruntled concerns.
