Couple 3 months back the topic of surplus stores came up and I said I'd poke my head in this one.. Located exit 200 of I-40, the Prague, Seminole exit.. The ole fellow said he was broke into a couple weeks back and they took all the easy to tote small goods they could.. Basically it was the knives, boots and the jewelry that he had.. I very pleasant fellow more than willing to chat and a bit generous too.. I had my grand daughter with me and he gave her a parachute cord bracelet in OU colors and a child's backpack for her sister.. Anyway the store is made up of mostly clothing from blues to fatigues and of different branches.. A good many boots and a few shoes.. A small pile of ammo cans, lots of shovel covers, mess kits, cots, cot pads, new in bag 70% wool blankets, canteens and covers, some duffle bags, vests and packs.. It was nearing lunch and I was hungry so I didn't do any digging for treasure .. While a pleasant fellow organization didn't seem to be a strong point.. If ya like digging thru surplus it may be worth your while but it is mostly attire.. Again I did not spend much time so there may be more than my eyes saw..
I need to get out that way some day. I could use a couple of canteens. I wonder if they make a peacoat in XXl and tall? I know I loved mine but it was slashed up one night pretty bad, and I kinda sorta outgrew it.
I did not spot a single price tag now that you mention it, I asked about the 50 cal ammo cans and he said $10..
The Bar H Bar roadhouse diner is a steak house that IIRC serves local beef plus daily specials, the wife and I have enjoyed every meal we've eaten there..
Here’s another one. I haven’t been there, l was just told about it. http://camocornersurplus.com/camo-corner-surplus-truck-sales
