I did not see it mentioned in that piece but Gore refused to sell it to some conservatives that made an offer saying that he wanted to sell to someone closer to his own beliefs. I guess that would be Al Jazerra.

In 2002 there were two television networks that were telling the truth. C-Span and Al Jezerra.
Maybe it was the stopped clock sort of thing. That was a long time ago, and I don't follow the media much.
