Automatic Gate Opener

Anyone done business with Ranchers Pipe & Steel in Tulsa? Looking to get an auto swing gate opener for our place. Seems that Mighty Mule openers are available everywhere but I'm concerned that it may not be the best brand. Most of the other brands, e.g. Liftmaster, Apollo, etc. are only sold through dealers. So, I wondered if anyone has done business with Ranchers P & S for install of an opener.

The electrical contractor I work for does gate openers and have been doing them for years. We're also a dealer for a couple different brands, not sure which ones off the top of my head. If you want PM me and I can give you the shop number.

I looked at ranchers and others also. Finally decided on the mighty mule after looking at other prices. We average 2-4 or more openings a day for close to 4 years now. I bought a different brand larger solar panel using a deep cycle marine battery on a 13ft gate we had made to fit the odd size opening we had. I have been happy with it so far. My 2 cents worth.

Thanks P238shooter. The mighty mule brand is sold at a lot of places and the price is hard to argue with. I may suck it up and do this myself but I think I need to see what a professional company would charge??!!

I'll vouch for might mule as well. Install is pretty easy and straight forward.

Absolutely, check everything out. I happened to see a neighbor that had hired a local welder guy to custom build his gate while I was pricing several places. Looked his over well, and for the price, it was a no brainer for me. As far as the actuator, I can buy a new operator or two in the next few years and still be very ahead on price. I have been very happy with mine. Your results may very.
