Had the Benchrest range to myself this morning for a few minutes then only 2 other guys. Light wind, cool and no dust.

200 yard dope logged and a pretty respectable group.

300 yard dope took me a few rounds to get dialed in as the wind picked up and started changing up a tad. Group was good enough to bang 3" steel 6 for 6.

I'll need to confirm at further distance, but I'm worried about this group opening up so much. I'm on the low side of the load. Using N135, I can only get so much speed with the 77 grain OTM's.

If I have issues at 400, I'll see if I can't find some N140.

I did some load development with the Hornady 62 grain FMJBT for my Ruger 556 carbine using N135. Didn't measure groups at 50, but had a good 5 shot load with 2690 FPS and SD of 6.76. I'm stoked with those #'s

That's awesome for a semi! Is it pretty stable with the bipod on the shooting mat? I've never tried it so just curious. I need to work up some dope cards on a couple of mine, but can't seem to get out to range without the other half wanting to tag along and play on 22lr range. Ugh!

Thank you. I will say, this rifle has made me a believer in that gas guns can be accurate. I got lucky with this load. First 5 tested, #2 was the meal ticket.

It's very stable. That's how I run all my precision stuff. Good solid bipod and that rear bag. Once it's pushed into the bag and the bipod loaded, it's solid except for my .5 MIL heartbeat.

This mornings wind was awesome. By 1400, it was a mess.
