Some of you guys are down right nasty. OP posts his story. Another poster posts a story believing OP to be incorrect.

I work on the road. Before I moved to Phoenix I was happy to see that my local Kansas City bank had just opened a branch in Phoenix. I hadn't done but 2 or 3 transactions there before I was told they didn't want my business any longer. They told me they were in Phoenix to take advantage of the housing market at the time (2005) and they didn't wish to waste their time on regular customers. I hope they lost their collective @ss like everyone else there did!
So I was forced to look for a national bank where I would not run into this again. I'll say I've had ZERO issues with BOA. They charge me nothing for my accounts. I get premium services such as free checks, free money orders, free safety deposit box, and interest bearing checking (albeit miniscule %). They have notified me of questionable transactions and have been more than friendly and helpful at every local branch I check into. I have paid all my bills through them for years now without one single issue. Their ATM's are literally everywhere. Personally, you can count me as one happy customer.

After my experiences with several banks, I refrain from using anything other than a Credit Union. It's either that, or a coffee can buried out in my yard at this point.

Bank of America is definitely not the Bank of 'Mericuh.
I've not had any problems with BoA, in fact, they've been quite pleasant to work with. However, declining to have customers in the gun business is no bueno. Fortunately they didn't have any problems issuing the check to Loki Firearms for my new Grendel upper :-)
