My hotel rooms I like quiet. The casino and bars..party away. Sitting anywhere from 4-10 hours at a blackjack table or in a poker tournament or even a good game of poker..can last a looooong time. Hallway noise, doors slamming, kids running up and down the hall..okay. Outside noise..NO!! Almost all the casinos I've stayed in in Vegas have a little hotel noise. Downtown/Fremont noise..music, concerts, lound bars...don't let the receptionist fool you into.."sure its quiet" down on Fremont. Meaning the closer to Fremont the more noisy the room will be. If you play at night and sleep during the day..its okay..its okay for the younger crowd..just not me or my wife any more. Again..I love the Vegas life..that's why were lookking at a second home there..retirement. Getting a little old for the parties..especially at the Palms, Rio, and Mandalay Bay party scenes. We use to go to the Ghost Bar in the Palms..Voodoo Lounge at the Palms and Mix lounge at Manadaly Bay...not any more. Sloww, quiet..where you can drink and enjoy the lounge music..not the bone rattle disco-techno stuff. Gamble..eat a good steak...gamble...eat a good buffet..sleep..drink while gambling, play some golf..sleep..gamble.
