Big 'Ol Centipede

Had one once, bout 12 inches, thought it would be cool to see it fight a tarantula, wasn't much of a fight, spider lasted about 2 seconds, then it spent the next 8 hours eating everything but the legs. tossed a live mouse in the jar and it impaled it with the two spikes on the tail, banged it against the glass about 5 times and tossed it...mouse was toast, ate that too.

They typically inhabit woodlands and adjacent fields. They're venomous; not something you want to bite you

You may be thinking of the coloration of the coral snake vs. the scarlet kingsnake and milk snake; "red next to yellow kills a fellow."

Yea we see them quite often at my work. had one caught in a jar but i dont remember what happened to it. also have tarantulas around my work as well would be interesting to see them fight. bugs are especially thick this year with all the rain we got over the spring cant wait for winter to kill em all off.....
