Best viewed at 3 AM? Reminds me of trying to stay awake for Santa when I was little.

It seems I wake up a lot at 3, so might give it a shot.

If I read that article correctly, the times here in Central Daylight time for totality will be between 1:30 and 2:30 am.

Its a pretty neat natural occurring event to see. There is another in September IIRC. A super moon in November as well.

Now back to bed for a hour LOL then get up and get ready to start my day.

It was overcast here in east TX when I got up to pee and a little after 3.

I got up to see it and I woke up my 7-year-old to see it because he was so excited talking about it yesterday when he heard there would be one.

I'm a little tired today but it was totally worth it.
