The medallions are originally pressed in, and are known to work themselves out. You'll see alot of them on the used market missing them. My original grips still have the medallions in their upright position, not that its going to affect the shooting of these fine pistols. I only wish FN had requested to have similar sights as their 84/85 series of guns. The Browning's are very accurate, but with the sights available it makes you work harder for that accuracy.
