I am trying to build a log splitter. I have a hydraulic pump . It is a Hydro gear BDP 10L 121P. I cant find any specs on it as far as gpm or psi. I need to find out what kind of ram I can run with it.

If anybody has any info or knows where I can go to get some I would be grateful.

Thank You in advance for your help.

Most log splitters use a two stage pump.
the first stage is high volume, low pressure, to move the ram quicker, but when it gets into the wood and encounters resistance, it kicks into low range which is low speed, but high pressure.
Haldex makes these pumps. sold thru northern hydraulics.
I'd like to show you mine, but on my phone now.

all I have are horrible horrible memories of being on the farm and having to work the splitter at 6 am freezing my butt off. I don't know why, but of all the things on the farm, i hated that the most. I think it had something to do with I always managed to get something in my eye when the log split
