Bullets are illegal in Mexico. How's that working out for the cartels?

Trucker got lost in El Paso, ends up being told to drive across the bridge to mexico, had no choice but to cross into burrito land where his truck was searched. He was transporting 268k rounds to Arizona. Got arrested for smuggling and served 7 months in some hell-hole max security mexican prison. Prosecutors said they found the ammo hidden under the floorboards, the mex customs agents said they stracked on pallets. He got lost and had to serve 7 months. I hate mexico.

I wonder what he had. Military caliber ammunition, assault rifle ammunition covers a lot of territory.
268,00 rounds of 5.56 seems like a small load for an 18 wheeler.
1000 rounds is 33.63 # a little over 9000# total. I can't find the dimensions of the boxes.
But it seems like a small load.
I wonder if the guy was a Teamster? (serious question).
I wonder if they tried to help him out any. What did the trucking company do? What did the state department do?
The Ammo company will probably sue everybody. May be not. Go to their website and read how they arrived at their name.

Mexico kept the ammo, probably gave it to the cartels. Don't think he is union. I think that it is very interesting that American truckers are not allowed to drive into mexico without all kinds of hassles, but thanks to Clinton and Obama, mexican truckers no longer have to hand off loads to American truckers.

Didn't Ross Pearow warn us about this?

The Cartels have no problems with getting ammunition. If the cops down there say anything about it, the Cartel just sends a group to the officers house and kill him and his whole family and nothing else is ever said about the bullets or the murders.
