Remington seems to be going into the death quivers...it's a shame that one of the greatest gun companies in history has deteriorated into what we have now, especially in a time where gun sales have been at record highs and gun companies should be thriving.

There is truth in your words Brandi. Remington's quality has slipped some. A coworker bought an 1100 shot gun...it had a mechanical issue. He took it back and BA Guns ordered him a new 1100. Well, it had issues too. Took it back and gave up, just got his money back. It's unbelievable to me that Remington messed up one 1100 let alone two!

It appears everything under Freedom Group (Cerberus Capital) is going down.

Remington, Bushmaster, DPMS, Marlin and Para are all having issues.

Somehow I don't think that is by accident. It's truly a shame. 10 years ago if someone said Remingtons were junk those would have been fighting words. Nowadays I just have to agree. I have absolutely no plans on buying anything new made by any of those manufacturers you listed....and I currently own something from most of them (pre Cerberus).
