That was said with a lot of sarcasm. I am not predicting that the rest of country(at least most of it) is not as naive and or brainless as the state of California and will follow suit.

Was there last week and did some shooting with a buddy that lives there. Shot his Ar, Ak 74, kel tec su 16 ( my fav of the day), saiga 12 (fun, but left some bruising, fun hurts sometimes), a scoped super red hawk, a dedicated 22 Ar, a Mossberg 500, Sks, and the 638 I was packing... fun times I gotta tell you... Out in the middle of the Desert.
Now the Ar's had some silly things that didn't let you detach the mags, the Ar's required a button tool to release. The Ak's had a similar mag lock mechanism..
Still had a blast..

Actually, CA has a history of influencing other states, for better (rarely) or worse (usually).

Never underestimate the power of rampant stupidity.
