Can we talk about generators?

What I don't like about using a portable generator has already been said. It's ok when the weather is half way good, but dealing with it with 6 inches of snow on the ground is just more than this old man can handle.

You could build or there are companies that sell enclosures for portable generators. They quiet them by a bit and can be hardwired to an inlet to a transfer switch or interlocked breakers. Another bonus is that it offers protection from rain and security from theft
