Canada and Anti-Gun Fascism--4yr. old's gun drawing gets dad arrested+

Is there any doubt that this could be coming to an American town/city in the not too distant future? The 4 year old daughter's drawing of a gun gets a Canadian dad arrested, strip searched and home searched. The gun by the way was a transparent, plastic toy pistol(left behind by a relative) that the daughter said the dad used to shoot bad guys and monsters at home.
