Sadly though if this ever does happen, even on a nationwide scale, there will probably be many more than not that will just cower and turn them in. Now I know it's easy to get on here and say I will go down shooting but I know it would be a hard choice in real life. But if that ever happens fighting would be the only option to prevent us from being completely enslaved.

Wasn't during Katrina Marshall Law enacted (or however you phrase it) ? So whats the difference between a state of emergency and martial law? What has to occur differently? Has it ever been declared before?

The law means nothing when the government deems it an impediment. The second our government thinks they would be able to stay in power and take our guns they will do it. until that time they will peck at our liberty in bits and pieces betting that we wont notice until it is too late.
