Great handgun, and could be carried but it depends on how you're going to carry it.

Great gun for competition, which is what it was designed for, but kind of large for carry. And, God forbid, you actually had to use it and the family found out you used a gun with such a light trigger. Wrongful death suit waiting to happen. Chances are it would happen anyway, but no need to fan the flames.
