BTW...in case anyone is keeping track or confused. 1. Order packets that are postmarked no later than October 4th will still be accepted and processed. The requirements originally stated that orders must be postmarked by 10/4, but also listed that date as the cutoff as orders would be inputed into the random number generator on 10/5. 2. Form 4A (checklist) is no longer required due to many applicants failing to understand how to complete the checklist or that a completed checklist was required. You can personally thank me for opening up that can of worms. :smack: 3. CMP 1911 purchases are not one per lifetime as stated by the admin on the CMP forums. Per the CMP 1911 site, all valid orders placed during the 9/4 - 10/4 timeframe must be filled prior to sales being opened back up for a second pistol. Mark Johnson has supposedly stated that the restriction will be one pistol per year rather than per lifetime. 4. I have no clue as to how the random number generator and notification process will actually work. I have read 2 or 3 contradictory statements posted by the admin alone. 5. Sorry, but you will not see a Singer slip through on auction or mail order as many have openly posted about their hopes for this to occur. :rolleyes2
