Most people in Colorado don't shoot.
Most hunters are out of staters.
Most city people, I'd buy that. Only lived on the Western Slope for 2 years in the early 70's. Lots of shooters and hunters there/then. Farmers & ranchers use firearms as tools, as well as recreation. Hunting for food, and pest/predator control. Helped with a bit of that while I was a teen.

We just escaped Co a few months ago. Most of Co is as Red and pro gun as Oklahoma is and maybe even more so. Undeniably the state has been overrun with morons to be sure. However as a life long resident minus military time I have always lived in the rural part of Co. I'm still not convinced that Co is a blue state. Lots of cheating, mail in ballots from who knows where etc. Trump signs and stickers outnumbered harris/biden by quite a margin in most places. The election did see some headway to the right in spite of the cheat.

For anyone visiting Co and if your are going to the Grand Junction area check out the State range outside Palisade it is spectacular. For another nice public range the Chaffee County Range between Salida and Buena Vista is nice. Around Rifle there is a great private range and a state range near Rifle Gap Reservoir and past the private range there is probably 10 square miles of ATV trails and tons of places to pull off and shoot.

Unfortunately tons of previously open areas to shoot and camp are being closed off because of scumbags littering and the homeless and other bums are totally trashing out the place. Between ***** shooters and the welcoming of the bums by the foolish dems a lot of the public land is being closed off to the public.

We absolutely love Oklahoma and have no intension to ever even consider moving. To the guys who do not like outsiders moving in I 100% understand. I've been saying since the 70s we needed to put a fence around Co to keep all the liberals out. The have put a hurting on the state that will be impossible to heal. Hope I'm wrong about that. Meant to simply make a comment on the tax increase and ended up babbling. Oklahoma rocks may it never go the way of the blue states.

My brother moved out of GJ a couple(?) years ago. Got to be more than he could take. Is in southeast Missouri now. MO seems to have more than its fair share of ultra-liberal large cities, too. He retired from the Navy in 1994, and moved back to CO. He built a great life for himself & his wife, but it went to crap on him after he retired from the FAA. He saw this crap coming and went looking for a new home. He didn't like the OK tax structure. Hope it works out for him.

NO WAY, DUDE! THOSE FAT-CAT PROPERTY OWNERS EAT IT! (Sarcasm….)
JUST LIKE BIG CORPORATIONS ALWAYS TAKE A LOSS TO PAY HIGHER TAXES! (Can’t possibly be passed onto consumers and cause higher prices…)
KAMALA, JARED AND CRAZY UNCLE BERNIE TOLD ME SO! (Thank the good Lord she lost….)

We left Broomfield Co four years ago in July. Best decision we ever made. Welcome to freedom!
