computer stinks

I'm looking for someone in the tulsa/broken arrow area for pc repair, my work computer smelled like hot plastic then turned off,I need someone to repair if possible,or I need to recover info from hard drive, the pc wont turn on at all any Ideas? thanks

Sounds like a power supply. What kind of PC is it?

I can get the data off of most consumer type drives except old RLL drives.

data should be available on hard drive....to me it sounds like you need to contact the manufacturer as that sounds like a safety hazard if you picked up a melting plastic and/or burning smell....

Take the side cover off and see if you can see any part of the mother board burned up.
