I hope what little I have done is enough to get me through another ice storm and such. But, I don't know if it is really possible to be prepared for total collapse. I know a lot of folks who hope TEOTWAWKI happens tomorrow I am just not in that group. The amount of pain, suffering and death would be beyond what any of us could comprehend. The black death of the 14th century would likely be child's play in comparison. Are any of us really ready to just watch you kids or grandkids die for no good reason...pneumonia, flu, appendicitis, asthma attack, cellulitis, cholecystitis (bad gall bladder), UTI, diarrhea/vomiting. These suddenly become rapidly deadly and can exhaust even a decent size hospital in days without restocking let alone a lone group. A few bags of IV fluids are peeing i the wind to a septic person try 10 or 20 or more for just 1 person. A stock bottle of antibiotics will treat maybe 15 to 30 people if you really push the minimum doses. That is just not very many. 50 4x4s for a relatively minor wound is not uncommon...how much quick clot can you carry. 10,000 bullets and 100,000 people looking to take what you have bad odds. I will settle for the current status quo forever. Anyway back to the card...I don't know what I would do I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I hope I never have to.
