I was under the assumption that crawlspaces were to remove moisture from under the home that would prevent mold and so on.Hey… for $40k I’ll encapsulate you and your moms crawlspace lol
In all seriousness it depends on the house, the floor joist and piers, specific circumstances and amount of work required etc
If they’re just rolling out some thick plastic, plugging the vents with plywood, and running a couple flex ducts down there then hell no

So, in my uninformed construction knowledge, why does blocking them reduce mold and deterioration of the floor joices?
