They charge high shipping, and they have what seems like dozens of different warehouses that fill your order, leading to even more shipping.
They raise prices to gouge-worthy levels at the drop of a hat. I think their .223 ammo shot up to $999/1000 pretty quick. Same with their ar15 magazines. They did much the same in 2008.
Speaking of 2008, there is a famous screen cap of their website... Some ammo was marked as msrp $3.99, now 7.99, you save -47%. Yes, they jacked the price straight past MSRP and the negative percentage was calculated automatically.
So they have a bad rep for high prices. They also temporarily suspended gun sales last week, I think they are back now.
