I tried one of those chop saws at Harbor Freight, became to time consuming. I bought a 300BO early on before brass was easily obtained. Had a few friends who also had the same problems obtaining brass so I started making brass for them also for a little cash or bartering. I enjoyed doing it but the cutting one at a time wasn't working.
Thinking out loud it would be fairly easy to line up a bunch of cases straight and then do a resin pour to make a perfect mold for them too.

Hadn't thought of that but good idea. I cut them a little long to allow extra in case they were not aligned perfectly straight. Then purchased a motorized trimmer to make quick work of that chore.
May have to research into making a mold later. Right now I have plenty of brass made. My friends started buying actual 300BO brass when the market caught up with demand.

My problem was the varied case neck thickness after cutting down to size. Maybe one of these days I'll invest in a neck turning tool...
I bought a neck turning tool years ago and tried it on some 308 cases and no difference.
But I had 1 .308 and 1 30-30 at the time that I loaded for.
Later I began shooting cast loads in my 30-30 and would get this flier or 2 that would be 4" from the rest of the group.

I found neck thickness was from .010" to .0145" and got the neck turner back out and fixed that issue and no more fliers in left field.

Later I got a .243 and a .223 and found they had tight chambers in the neck area and Lapua cases would shoot horribly because there was not enough room for them to expand enough.

Neck turned those and accuracy followed.
My 6.5 CM shoots better as does another 308 with neck turned cases.

For pistol and rifle I sort by brand and thickness.
Yes pistol.
