Day 3 of becoming a Zombie.

I have no idea what this illness is, but it hits hard, fast, and takes no prisoners.

Wednesday I was fine, then early Thursday morning the Mack truck hits me at full speed. I've pulled every muscle in my abdomen 3 times over. My throat and bronchial tubes are raw. And if I'm not careful, the slightest cough could mean changing my shorts. Sleep is fleeting and I can barely even swallow water. I haven't eaten in 3 days.

I was also apparently quite delusional for the 1st 2 days.

Don't worry if I start craving brains though. I'm pretty sure ya'll are safe.

I’m just now getting over Covid with pneumonia. Super fun combo.

We saw a news report that OKC was #1 in the country for flu cases.
Ponca City schools have been shut down for almost two weeks from what we hear because nobody is attending classes.
We got home from a month-long road trip yesterday. Pretty sure the old homestead and maybe the lake for some crappie fishing is going to be the only place we go until this all passes.

I don’t know if we had a combo or what but it’s like our world got turned inside out. The biggest thing I’m going to have to deal with is my sleep cycle. The current one seems to be 3am to 9am. This is going to continue to suck for a while

It just keeps giving.

Today's menu has gas and bloating with extereme abdominal pain.

Remember what a wise old doctor once said: As you get older, you learn to never trust a fart!

Going to be out of communication off and on.

I'm in the hospital with a perforated bowel and diverticulitis. Currently I'm just under observation. They are hoping it will heal itself with antibiotics and other meds. I'll still probably need surgery in a few weeks to remove the diverticulitis.

We read today that Oklahoma seems to be the epicenter of the flu.
We are in full covid lockdown mode currently waiting for another two weeks to go by so we can get away again.
