I learned FORTRAN on punch cards. My first computer had 16K RAM (was an upgrade from the base model), used a cassette tape drive and a portable B&W TV for the monitor. Really thought I wanted to get into computers for a living, then changed direction in college. Never looked back. BTW, my last dedicated gaming console was PONG...……..

I know enough to know what I don't know in this subject.

Your first computer sounds like the one I had for my first one. Mine was a Timex Sinclair 1000.
