Problem isn't the "goons" with the guns but more the bureaucrats telling them to get out there with them. The bundy ranch was a debacle and it shows how a political appointee out in charge of an agency can really screw things up. I think that, perhaps, a person with some institutional knowledge and world experience in law enforcement matters. Any have been a better choice to run the agency.
