Nah, that’s ancient news. This is about him seeing his kids getting older and the YouTube (and resort) stuff taking too much of his time away from them. As he said in the video, in twenty years, he’s not going to look back and wish that he’d spent more time making videos or working on the resort, so he’s cutting all of that stuff out of his life so he can focus on what’s important to him—his family.
He also made a video last year about how people were getting weird, including an incident where a guy jumped the closed gate to knock on the door of his house, and how he’d removed all of the videos that featured his wife and kids from his channels. I’d wager that has a lot more to do with his decision to hang up his spurs than some jake-legged peckerwood wearing one of his shirts.
For that matter, he’s the co-owner of Bunker Branding (with the Fat Electrician, IIRC), which makes all the swag for a metric crapton of YouTubers, so it’s not like he needs to be working at all right now, anyway.
