I was in the Purcell Wal-Mart last night, and as I was going past the gun counter a customer said he was looking for .22lr. The guy behind the counter said they hadn't had any in a few months...
BTW, I don't remember seeing it before, but Midway is showing expected "in stock" dates on some of their ammo. The Remington UMC 9mm was showing dates in July and August, but Larry is still true to his word--you can't back order them, but the prices are still reasonable.

Read it just fine....you're still not getting it. If you waited till 8 days after a shooting of which they were preaching gun grabbing rhetoric darn near immediately, you should've known what would happen. If you didn't, then you've been blind since Obama got elected because it's happened twice already. Don't worry, be patient..... lesson learned. Get what you need when things die down before the next "crisis" hits, because another will happen.
I've had 5 orders from Midway shipped this year. All contained or were entirely back order items. 2 were magazines before they had to discontinue back orders on most of them.

My Midway backorder from Dec 29 shipped yesterday... pmags at $12.30 each
I order from them all the time...never had any problem. As a matter of fact...i was lucky enough to get the last two magpul ar 30 round mags they had in thier regular stock ( yup 12.30) when the craziness started....it was just a regular order and i wanted 4, but all they had was two left.....so i ordered them, low and behold, it was the last two there were. Lucky me...LOL I felt speshul..HAHAHAHAHA

The last shipment I had from Midway has turned out to be a crushing disappointment. Most of it came in but some reloading gear I wanted went on back-order while I was shopping the site. No worries ... Hornady anticipated them arriving mid-February. Fine and good.
Got a notice last week that the gear was back in stock, and the notice says: if you already have this item on back-order, no further action need be taken. So I'm waiting to find out the shipping date and such. Checked on the website today and my backorder status for that gear had been cancelled and the gear was AGAIN on back order. Anticipated delivery date: 1 April
Well, take me for an April Fool's ride once .. you know how that goes. I call Midway and the rep tells me that someone called and cancelled the back order in December. (It did not show as being cancelled until when I'd checked it this week; up til then it had all been on back-order full status) So I said, check again, I wouldn't have called and cancelled it.
And then I ax her a question: if this order had been cancelled, why did I receive a notice last week telling me that my back-ordered equipment had arrived and would be immediately shipped? No answer on this one.
I'll be buying this stuff from somewhere else. Natchez has it for $30 less anyways.
