Dodge Half Ton Diesel

Anyone going to try one? Ford had one in the works forever but it was canned. So did Nissan and Toyota, also canned.

I imagine they are using a modernized version of the 4bt cummins. They run between 190-250 hp depending on if its a p-pump or not and if the pump is turned up and upgraded governor spring. Where the 4bt excels is in it's tq. But that's just my guess. They could've made a whole new motor. But I would put my money on a variation of the 4bt

Yup in the short it's a fiat diesel. Don't expect it to be worth a Damn like a Cummins.

Think I'll stick with the HEMI on the half ton trucks. Now on 3/4 ton or better a cummins is a no brainer.

VM is a great and reliable engine manufacturer. Coupled to the 8 speed transmission, the fuel economy will be awesome. I cant wait for this truck.

Ok I've got no brain, that's been proven, but in my 3/4 ton 4x4 2006 LBZ Duramax pulls pretty well. Thankfully everyone in the world doesn't like the exact same thing....
