Why not go with an RC51 if you like twins? I'd love and RC51. Last time I rode one it was amazing. That liter v-twin sounds fantastic too

Yeah, that'd be cool

I'm getting to the point though where I doubt I'd get a sport bike. Adventure bikes and vintage machines are more my speed. I have too many bikes as it is.

I keep dreaming about getting this one running, at least I have started working on it again. Thinking about taking it to BMC's Vintage bike show next weekend....

Thought I would update this one. I never got in running, Dad passed away in 2016 and I gave it to my Sons. Youngest did some work on the wiring and got busy with work. Oldest settled into a great job in KC so I delivered it to him last summer. He's been plugging away at it, and today it started for the first time in many decades. It was really cool to hear the old bike run again. He is going to go over it a couple of more times and I'm sure he will ride it. I'm going to have to get to KC to get a ride on it as well.

I have had some nice bikes over the years, 59 years behind the handle bars. I was thinking my old 98 GoldWing has gotten a little heavy for me, so kinda thought about getting a trike similar to this, but found an older Jeep instead and think I will stay with it and sell the GoldWing. I still have this in the back of my mind though. They come in 350's and 540 big blocks also.

I've always preferred Sportsters and especially dug what Eric Buell did with them. IMO, these are the best Sportsters out there! My 2000 M2 Cyclone, changed the seat for my short legs.

Wow, this thread was started by my brother. My nephew was about 8 in 2010. Here he is with the 1971 R50/5 that my brother and I own together. He wanted to start riding it to okmulgee tech to save money. I properly mothballed it many years ago so it was an easy job to get it going. Mostly just tires but they put a repop seat on it too. The foam was trashed after all these years. Kind of excited to see it back up and running
