DuraCoated my Slide

My buddy was over today Duracoating his frame on his sig, so I did a little prep work and had him shoot my slide on my keltec, afterwords I decided to start polishing my barrel. I gave up on the barrel after about an hour, have to save that for another day. heres some pics of the progress so far.

Were you in a hurry? It looks like you got the sights duracoated too.

Yea I was in a hurry, kinda a spur of the moment deal, but we did the sights on purpose, if you've ever handled a KelTec, they have some cheap plastic sights, the dots had already wore off so I just decided to coat them too.

Did you do any prep work? Sanding etc.

Looks good. Just don't expect that duracoat to last very long as it wears quickly.

For those asking, I did minimal prepwork, took about 10 minutes to wipe it clean and rub with denatured alcohol. And on the durablilty side, I carry this daily with the belt clip and has already started wearing on the serations in the slide, wish I would have done more prep/maybe clear coat. Doesnt matter much, its a cheap gun and its job isnt to be pretty
