One rusted out internally and had to be replaced. Last year on December 23 the other unit wouldn’t turn off so I killed it at the breaker. When smoke started coming out of the vents I knew there was a problem so I took a fire extinguisher up and sure enough the inside was on fire. Lennox replaced that one for free and took the burned one back to see what caused it to catch on fire. One would think that the HVAC installers would be able to install the plumbing so it wouldn’t freeze or get clogged, but I guess not because every winter the drain freezes up. Apparently the foam pipe insulation isn’t enough. Maybe using a couple of 45* elbows would be better than a single 90* to help keep the water flowing, but I know that I shouldn’t have to run a couple of space heaters nonstop in the attic.First world problems I suppose. The outside units have been trouble-free though.</blockquote>
