It's been my opinion and will remain my opinion until I hear a good argument to change. The folks in the mid-east have proven over and over again that they don't want us there. We seem to prove over and over again that we really don't understand these people and their lives and life values. This makes for and odd mix issues for both side. The bottom line is this; we can't help them help themselves out of a situation we don't understand...and we can't fix what we don't understand with a set of tools that are not proper for the job at hand. LET's COME HOME and STAY HOME.
Uh, excuse me? Not wanting to bomb people and tell them what to do with their rubble, that makes you an isolationist. We need more bases everywhere, and to double our military spending.
If we bomb them in their homes before they turn on us, they can't take the fight to US soil.
We go where the oil is, for the most part. Plenty of other oppressed countries we don't go and help. So long as oil is there, we will always be in the middle east.
