Meh, not impressed. What would impress me, the ammo companies stop waisting money and resources on the latest and greatest that don't do a dang thing that our current rounds do, and start pumping out rounds for the existing cartridges we have and stop gouging us with artifical shortages.

Improving existing cartridges doesn't sell new guns.
How many rifles have been sold in 6.5 ManBun?
Most new cartridges don't last because of the limited number of rifles chambered for them.
7mmRemMag is available from any manufacturer and every style.
On the other hand, the Winchester short magnums, limited availability. The Nosler rounds, .260Rem and on and on. Handgun rounds are the same situation.
The .45GAP, .357Sig, .327Fed, .32H&R

There is no magic. Build it and see. Some awesome cartridges never make it beyond "cult" followers.

Gun companies generally sell guns which last several lifetimes. Once they sell everybody one, they go bankrupt unless they sell shooters on something new and improved, whether gun alteration, new chambering, or etc...

Half the "my (blank) works fine" cartridges mentioned are the results of that type marketing and would not exist were it not for the gun companies trying to interest shooters in something new and improved.

Its interesting but not needed by any means I've a 7x57 , 280 and 7 mag. I agree though the way a company continues to stay in business is offering new products even if they are the answer to a question no one was asking.

A cartridge that's over 130 years old and will do what the other 2 do. So, along comes the 7-08. But, how many rifles were sold?

Same could be said with 7x57, .30-30 & .30-06; other cartridges are a redundancy with little improvement or advantages.

If I could I would love to add a 7mm to my rifle line up, but it would be a 7 x 57. Heck if I had the money I would find a good Mauser action and build one. Yes I like the old tried and true.
