I had more than I have seen in a long time, then cows were put back on the property. I do not know if it is related or coincidence but once the cows came, within a few months the hogs have pretty much left. I see a few every now and then but nothing like I did in May/June.
I am far enough from the river or creek that I don't have a hog problem. I am close enough that I do have them pass through, usually during extreme wet conditions or they invade the wheat field on my north border. In 15 years, we have seen hogs 4 times. Each time, a day or two, then gone. Once we shoot, they leave.
