Flash mob or protest???

Penn Square Mall, 1:30ish people beating drums and riding up and down the escaltor in the center of the mall. ALL the security was there watching, so was half the people at the mall!! Flash mob or protest?

If there were no signs or chanting, I would say it was a flash mob.
