They are sharp enough to choose gun-free zones, choose victims who will draw the maximum emotion out of the victim's loved ones and society in general, and often include an escape plan if they don't choose to kill themselves. Are they emotionally disturbed and/or lacking a conscience? Yup. But, would they choose a venue where their plans would fail or have minimal success at best? No. Someone shooting back would certainly foil their plans.Bottom line?
