For those of you that break open pumpkins for your deer, Aldi has them at $3 this week. I know the coons and all like them too but I read somewhere that deer really do.

That’s why you would have the handgun. I don’t think a safe word would work in that case.

I cannot believe how well my new food plot has taken off. It had saplings and black berry bushes all over it going into the spring. I burned it off in early April, sprayed it with remedy and Roundup in early August. Worked it the first time in late August, then again before planting the last week of September.

Got about 1.5” of rain the week after it was planted, another 1.25” Sunday night and .85” this morning. More rain coming tonight through Friday so I think I’m set for a while. With the warmer temps, I should get a lot of good growth on it the next few weeks.

I planted this field one week ago today, got rain on Sunday, then Wednesday through Friday morning for an accumulative total of 4.3”. Looks like it is going to make a stand.

Undeg01, that's about what our BFO and 4x4 mix plots are looking like also. Close to 5" in Okfuskee County so needs some sunshine. Deer are already browsing the BFO's down.
