Hey yall, I'm prepared to get ridden pretty high over this, so go ahead on. I wanted to ask DVM if it's legal in Ok to keep a pet 'possum. Yes this is a real question. Got a friend with one. Thank you Ma'am, talk at you later.
It is illegal to keep indigenous wildlife as a pet. So, no. You cannot legally keep a possum as a pet. 
If you chose to do so anyway, and you are reported, they COULD confiscate the possum.

I know from experience that if you feed the possum outside it is extremely unlikely that it will actually be confiscated.

The Short Tailed possum is not indigenous to Oklahoma. The possum that is native to Oklahoma is Didelphis virginiana, the Virginia possum.
As to the Coyodogs.... well.. that's a very very grey area.
