He swears up and down he bought it from a place in Indiana called Brighten Farms. Its got a pen with a doghouse outside, but it spends a lot of time indoors. He's even got a dog tag for it, a flea collar, and he takes it with him on his evening walks. Hasn't had any problem yet. He tells everybody he's about half blind and all he could afford was a seeing eye possum.

when I was growing up in Oklahoma, I had cousins that had coons and possums in the house like cats, the possums didn't like to get up in the mornings, he wanted to be prowling around the house during the night. he might bite you if you tried to wake him up too early. and the coon was bad to hide behind things and jump out on you like a cat might.

saw the coon take a beating from my grandma once when he jumped on her leg from where he was hiding behid the couch, grandma took the broom to him pretty good..

over here in Arkansas you can keep 6 of any kind of wild animal you want to. I know people that have bobcats, coons, coyotes, deers almost anything you can think of.

Possums seem to get along with cats. Possums seem like mentally handicapped individuals to me. They have trouble figuring things out. Lord only knows how they've made it this far.
